The Megamouth Shark is a rare species that was first discovered in 1976. This large shark can grow up to 16 feet long and weighs around 2,700 pounds. It is found in tropical and temperate waters worldwide and feeds by filtering small organisms from the water, similar to Whale and Basking Sharks.
