Nitrogen Narcosis, also known as being “narced,” can affect divers due to breathing compressed air while diving, leading to symptoms similar to alcohol intoxication. The condition occurs due to nitrogen accumulation affecting brain communication. Symptoms can start as shallow as 6ft but are most concerning at 100ft, causing euphoria and potential dangerous behaviors. However, effects disappear upon surfacing, with no long-term damage reported.
