Diving with Dragons
Diving in the Galapagos allows for a unique experience with marine iguanas, known as “mini dragons,” which have evolved to dive and feed on seaweed due to the lack of sustenance on the islands. Their black coloration helps them warm up in the cold waters, and diving with them requires caution not to stress the reptiles. Despite their focus on feeding, observing these creatures is a remarkable experience.
