Five scuba divers faced danger off the southern coast of Malta near Wied iż-Żurrieq due to strong currents and large waves. They were rescued by the Armed Forces of Malta and the Civil Protection Department after the alarm was raised. Four divers were picked up by a rescue boat, while one was saved by a helicopter. Fortunately, no serious injuries occurred, although one diver was taken to the hospital for observation. This incident highlights the risks associated with diving in adverse weather conditions.
