FLAPPER SKATE (Dipturus intermedius)
The Flapper Skate, also known as Dipturus intermedius, is a species found mainly in the Northeast Atlantic. Once widespread, its population has significantly declined, making it critically endangered in many areas. Eggcases from this species have mostly been found in Orkney, indicating their importance for conservation efforts.
