Guitarfish
Guitarfishes, including the critically endangered Giant Guitarfish, face severe threats from fishing activities in the Mediterranean. They are often caught by small, unregulated fishing boats that lead to a decline in their population. The Shark Trust is working with various partners to improve conservation efforts and better protect these species, especially by monitoring fish markets and collecting genetic data.
