The summer vacation included adventures diving in Isle Royale National Park, located in Lake Superior. Divers explored six classic shipwrecks, such as the Cumberland and George M. Cox, with depths ranging from recreational to technical diving levels. A significant benefit of diving in Lake Superior is the pristine condition of the wrecks, which have not been colonized by invasive species like zebra mussels. This allows divers to see original wood, paint, and artifacts. The trip was challenging yet memorable, highlighting the unique experiences that Isle Royale offers for divers.
