Largest seagrass nursery in the world unveiled

The world’s largest seagrass nursery has been opened in Gladstone, Australia to help restore ecosystems in the Great Barrier Reef. Known as CQUniversity’s SeaGrow nursery, it is built in partnership with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation and Coles Group. This state-of-the-art facility was developed with guidance from top seagrass researchers and local Reef Traditional Owners. Seagrass is essential for the health of the Great Barrier Reef and coastal habitats.
