New Crane Triples Net-Pulling Capacity For Sea Shepherd
Sea Shepherd has upgraded the crane on their flagship, the M/V Seahorse, to triple its ghost net-pulling capacity. Ghost nets are harmful, often trapping marine life and contributing to the extinction risk of species like the Vaquita. With this new three-ton crane, Sea Shepherd can remove more dangerous debris from protected areas in the Upper Gulf of California. This upgrade is crucial for the survival of endangered species and aims to improve ocean health overall.
