New species of sea slug discovered off southwest England

A new sea slug species, Pleurobranchaea britannica, was discovered off southwest England and Spain, expanding the known sea slug species to over 2001. This shell-less mollusc, a side-gill sea slug, measures 2-5 cm and was initially misidentified. The finding marks the first Pleurobranchaea species in UK waters.
