Red Sea liveaboard sinks in Egypt’s south; 18 divers rescued

The diving liveaboard MY Seaduction sank in Egypt’s St John’s National Park after hitting a reef. It was carrying 18 French divers who were able to escape and took to lifeboats before the vessel went down. Despite rough weather conditions, the crew warned divers to evacuate just in time. The divers drifted for eight hours until a fishing boat and the Egyptian Navy rescued them. They are safe but lost personal belongings during the incident.
