Running: a Family of Scuba Divers

Brian Carney and Jason Meany, friends and scuba diving enthusiasts, are running the Dopey Challenge to honor their late friend Jared Hires. They were inspired by Hires’ commitment to improving his health through running and wanted to bring his memory into the race. Both Carney and Meany have backgrounds in running and are using this opportunity to raise funds for Team Red, White & Blue, an organization that promotes veterans’ health. This event reflects their shared love for diving and keeps Hires’ spirit alive in their journey.
