The Fight for a Global Plastic Treaty Continues

The PADI AWARE Foundation represented the global diving community in negotiations for a Global Plastics Treaty, but progress was delayed. World leaders were unable to finalize measures to limit plastic production and address ocean pollution. Despite this setback, there is hope as many countries back a treaty to fight plastic waste. Future negotiations are planned for mid-2025, and the PADI AWARE Foundation remains committed to advocating for strong legal measures to protect our oceans from plastic pollution.
