Helmet diving combines traditional scuba diving with advanced technology. It provides a unique diving experience often used for commercial purposes. Unlike standard scuba, helmet diving requires a heavy suit and extensive support on the surface. In a new video, Jonathan Bird showcases helmet diving in New Jersey with the Garden State Underwater Recovery Unit, which still uses a Mark V helmet for rescue operations.
