A team of divers explored a previously uncharted wreck of a wooden sailboat near Catalina Island at a depth of 180 feet. The boat was about 25 feet long and showed signs of weathering over time. Divers discovered a tackle box, an old flare gun, and noted a rich variety of marine life surrounding the wreck. While they found part of a registration number, the boat’s exact identity remains uncertain, as only 51 possibilities exist based on available records. This discovery highlights the potential for new underwater excursions and the importance of marine documentation.
